In February I went to Costa Rica, to learn how to surf. Though I had to talk myself into taking an adventure, alone, I was really excited. The small town I went to was remote and beautiful. I couldn't wait to be in the water. Day 1 was great. I saw "potential" in my surfing. Then came day 2. Turned out to be not as great. Hmm. That was the end of me learning to surf in Costa Rica in February. But not my time in Costa Rica. So, I got to see many beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I drank amazing smoothies. Met great peope. Fell asleep to the sound of monkeys screaming. Drank coffee on my porch in the morning while reading the paper (thank you ipad and wireless internet). Took a road trip to the next big town to the medical clinic (what's a vacation without some adventure). Plus, I'd be lying if I didn't say spent a little time on gchat so I did not feel quite as alone (thank you ipad and wireless internet and google). I can't wait to go back to Costa Rica (hopefully I won't "need" my ipad as much). I also can't wait to try this surfing thing again (hopefully I won't need a trip to the medical clinic in the next big town).
