It is Veterans Day.
I spent the afternoon with jw + rw in chinatown.
before we get to that, I just have to say that I always get a little frustrated on days like today. Of course, a day to honor those who serve our country is important, but it bewilders me how for the most part, as a nation, we can live our daily lives oblivious to the struggles and hardships associated with war although we are involved in wars throughout the world.
So,
"as we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."
John F. Kennedy
Now, the afternoon...
First, we went to Nom Wah Tea Parlor, a dim sum diner in the heart of Chinatown. It lived up to the excellent reviews.
We ate a lot. But not so much that jw+rw didn't want to make one more stop before going home. So, after a little walk through Chinatown,
we reached our second destination.
Yum.
hahahahaha. just saw this. getting full just reading your post. post about zuccotti!
